If you would like a timeless and enduring piece of ceramic art, made specifically for you., perhaps in tribute to your loved one special person, or a commemorative piece I can make figurative sculptures on a small (table-top) scale. (Please see scale comparisons and prices at the bottom of this page).

All I need are good photographs of the person and/or animal to include some different angles and some headshots of the human/animal figure to be portrayed. Please view my gallery to see the figurative style in which I work.  I can include dates, names or personal text on the surface of the sculpture as visual text in or the inscription could be hidden which would give an extra personalised touch.
Typically, a commission takes approximately 6-8 weeks from start to finish. I would keep you involved each step of the way with updates and photographs. I encourage reference material , ideas about style and encourage a collaborative working to ensure it fits with your aesthetic.

I am inspired by people and animals and the hierarchies and bonds that exist. Recently my ceramics have evolved from single standing figures to small (table – top size) ceramic portraits of people and animals together. This has lead to portrait commissions of people with their pets or favourite animals.

Since owning a three legged rescue dog, Cassie, I have become more fascinated by our relationship and bonds with animals  increasingly concerned with animal welfare.

I aim to illustrate the character and personality of the person and/or pet. This can be a single person or pet portrait or a human portrait with their pet or image or otherwise. Your pets story or a description of your favourite spirit animal is important in the overall feel of the final piece.
